America is confronting four interrelated crises:
> a climate crisis (global warming due to
burning of fossil fuels),
> an energy security crisis (dependence on
foreign energy suppliers – some of them not
friendly to America),
> and global energy crunch (in two maximum
decades to come) !!!
The country’s best response to all four crises
is a bold, coordinated campaign of investment
and incentives to accelerate energy innovation!
Doing so will ensure that the U.S. becomesthe
worldwide winner in the next great global
industry: clean energy!

Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act of 2009, $112 billion will be invested in
so-called "green" technologies, and $2 billion
will be earmarked for renewable energy research.
Obama has also proposed adding $15 billion
a year to renewable energy research.
"The departure of top talent in technology and
science may also undercut the prospects for a
recovery in the U.S., many economists say.
These immigrants often start companies and
come up with technological breakthroughs,
creating new job opportunities for all. We
benefit from a flow of really smart people
coming here to work in our companies and
start new ones. It's important that the U.S.
remain a magnet for people who fuel
innovation and growth."
